NC State got the great news it was expecting on Monday: elite in-state small forward Josh Hall made his verbal commitment to the Wolfpack, giving Kevin Keatts a major building block heading into next year.

Hall is a consensus top-50 player in the 2020 class, and I think his highest ranking comes from Rivals, which has him at No. 26 overall. Rivals also has him as a five-star prospect. He’s a bit lower in the overall recruiting consensus.
Some of the other finalists for Hall’s services: Louisville, LSU, Florida State, Texas, Pitt, and Georgetown. Hall visited NC State a couple of times and most recently took an official to Raleigh in mid-October. The Wolfpack had been trending up in the last few weeks.
Hall plays for Moravian Prep in Hickory, NC, and happens to be teammates with Shakeel Moore, who just signed with the Pack over the weekend. Hall still has a couple days to make his commitment official before the fall signing period ends.
In conclusion, great get, Kevin Keatts is a winner, and et cetera.
