NC State needs to add some shooters to its roster this offseason and Lehigh graduate transfer Pat Andree fits that bill—the 6’8 forward shot 41.9% from beyond the arc for the Mountain Hawks this past season. NC State is one of the schools Andree has heard from since announcing his intent to transfer. Several other ACC schools are also involved.
Andree has made 41.5% of his threes over the course of three seasons with Lehigh, and he’s a 49% shooter inside the arc as well. He was a primary offensive contributor as a junior, averaging nearly 13 points per game to go with six boards.
He brings more to the table than just shooting, as he’s consistently taken good care of the ball and been a strong rebounder at the defensive end. It’d be nice to add a guy with those strengths to the roster, especially Torin Dorn’s rebounding production out the door.
Transfer season is just heating up, so I’m sure there will be more names on NC State’s radar before long.
