Atticus Taylor, a 6’7 wing player from Southwest Mississippi Community College, will be in Raleigh next week to check out NC State. According to the various recruiting sites, he does not yet have an offer from the Wolfpack, though I’m guessing that’ll change during his visit.

Taylor is a member of the 2019 class and will have three years of eligibility at his next stop. He’s been drawing interest from Virginia Tech, Texas A&M, West Virginia, and Illinois, among others.
As a freshman for Southwest Mississippi C.C., he made 12 starts and averaged 9.0 points per game while hitting 37% of his three-point attempts. He was also a solid scorer inside the arc, where he made 54.7% of his twos. Versatility like that is always useful, though of course it remains to be seen how moving up to the D-I level affects his efficiency.
