Four-star point guard prospect Jalen Cone announced Sunday night that he will re-classify and graduate high school this spring. He will make his college choice on Thursday, and there are six finalists: NC State, Virginia Tech, Tennessee, Wake Forest, Boston College (?!), and Texas A&M.
I will announce my decision Thursday (May 9th) at 3:45pm @ Walkertown High School and it is open to the public! My decision will also be televised on Spectrum Sports, WXII News 12, and Fox8 News! #MyDecision full video here https://t.co/BdcjeFzfc8 @GameofInchesHS pic.twitter.com/7vkXgw2mw9

Cone had the option to graduate in 2020 as well. NC State has made him a priority and was willing to take him either year. Some of these schools have been recruiting him quite a while longer, though.
The 247Sports Crystal Ball only has three submissions from recruiting experts at this point, but all three have Cone picking Virginia Tech. Two of those submissions came on Sunday, for whatever that’s worth.
Cone is a consensus four-star prospect, a top-100 national prospect, and a top-five player in North Carolina.
