NC State is one of many schools to show interest in Charleston Southern transfer Phlandrous Fleming, who has wisely decided to jump ship from a team that finished 2021 3-18 overall. That despite Fleming’s best efforts, as he averaged 20.1 points and 7.4 rebounds per game.

This past season he took nearly 35% of Charleston Southern’s shots while he was on the court, which was one of the 10 highest workloads in the country. Wherever he ends up, he’ll have more help, which will help with his efficiency. In four seasons, he’s shot 49% on twos and 31% on threes, and those numbers were 45% and 32% this past season.
Fleming brings a lot to the table—he is a surprisingly good defensive rebounder, for instance, and he’s good at getting to the free throw line, where he’s a career 78% shooter. He figures to be a solid add at the defensive end as well, and this year ranked among the top 400 in both block rate and steal rate, which is impressive.
