Good stuff here from The Virginian-Pilot about Dez Lee, who went from high school in Virginia to junior college in Nowhere, New Mexico, to NC State. The piece also sheds some light on how the Pack ended up landing him over Creighton and Baylor:
"It hurt me to tell (those coaches) I was coming here," Lee said after a recent game at PNC Arena. "But I had to do what was best for myself and my family, and that was coming home. I didn't want anything more than my daughter to see me play."
That is a sentiment worthy of the holidays. (Also a sentiment worthy of all other days.)
