I don't care if it is a bunch of cruddy teams playing; I'm always going to feel excited about the start of the conference tournament. Sure it's odd that this is beginning on a Wednesday now, and it's too bad that there will be hardly anyone in the building. But that's also how Thursdays had been looking, so there's no loss in that respect; there's just more basketball.
It's one-and-done time, so let's do this thing, because why the heck not? State will play the winner of the Miami-VT matchup, which is the second game of the day.

3:30 p.m. -- No. 10 Miami vs. No. 15 Virginia Tech (winner gets NC State)
7 p.m. -- No. 14 Boston College vs. No. 11 Georgia Tech (winner gets Clemson)
