Cat Barber suffered a concussion on Friday at the Chris Paul Elite Guard Camp in WInston-Salem, per Sporting News' Kami Mattioli. Barber may have taken a knee to the head as he and some other players scrambled for a loose ball during a scrimmage. He wasn't participating in camp drills on Saturday.
I haven't been able to find anything on the severity of the injury, so no telling how long this might keep him off the court.
This is the second time in as many offseasons that Barber has suffered a concussion--he was injured in another loose ball battle last October, in that case after a collision with T.J. Warren. The lesson here, kids, is never hustle. (Just kidding, kids. Stay grindin'.)
Barber is also the second NC State player to be sidelined by injury this summer. Freshman Caleb Martin had surgery in June to repair a fracture in his right foot that he suffered while still in high school.
