The link roundup of triumph: Stories and photos from NC State's win over UNC

Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

Hey, everybody, it's a great day, isn't it? It couldn't be a bad day, because otherwise why would I have my struttin' shoes on?

Below I've compiled some links from around the tubes about last night's Wolfpack win in Chapel Hill, but first some quick words on State's much-improved NCAA tournament situation.

In his at-large board update this morning, Patrick Stevens had this to say about the Pack:

N.C. State jumped eight places on the at-large board thanks to its victory at North Carolina. It got some help when Texas and Texas A&M lost, but that's an unusually large jump for this time of year.

State is safely in the field as of right now, and actually has a four-team cushion between it and the "last four in" group of teams. That's really encouraging to see. Now State's just gotta keep winning.

(By the way, Patrick was like the only guy who had NCSU in the field prior to Selection Sunday last year, and he's historically been far more accurate than Joe Lunardi. Actually, a lot of people have been more accurate than Lunardi.)
