2016 Paradise Jam bracket: NC State opens with Montana

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

NC State is playing in the 2016 Paradise Jam in November, which we've known for quite a while now. The tournament, which is held in the Virgin Islands, features eight teams. NC State will open against Montana on Nov. 18. The Wolfpack will then play either Creighton or Washington State in the next round, win or lose.

Here's the full bracket. (tip of the cap to Creighton, which apparently got this before everyone else)

Montana is coming off a 21-12 (14-4) season in the Big Sky and should be pretty solid again this year, since the Grizzlies had only one senior in their rotation in 2016. They finished at No. 147 in the Pomeroy Ratings, which was about 60 spots higher than Washington State, for example.

Both Creighton and St. Joe's finished in the KenPom top 40, and St. Joe's made the NCAAs. Ole Miss finished a few spots ahead of NC State, at No. 71.

So it's not a star-studded field, but nonetheless NC State should have an opportunity or three for decent resume-building wins.
