So Jimmy V made the trip to Washington D.C. to meet Ronald Reagan in 1983, but his team was stuck watching that from a studio at WRAL. The details of that day, which led to this one, are here.
Thurl Bailey led a campaign to get the remaining members of the '83 team to D.C., and on Monday, the culmination of that effort was a meeting with Barack Obama. The players' family members got to enjoy this trip as well, and Pam Valvano was there, too.
