The Minnesota Timberwolves have stolen BTP’s logo and therefore owe us a large apology cake

Or several large apology cakes.

I don’t know that you’ve seen this news today, but let me tell you at the outset: it is going to make you very upset.

The Minnesota Timberwolves, which you vaguely know as that occasional professional basketball team, unveiled a brand new, well, ... brand ... on Tuesday afternoon. Here is that team’s new primary logo:

Is there a smack of familiarity that comes with that image? There is, isn’t there? It took me a bit. I had to think on it, I just could not quite place it. BUT THEN. Sometimes it takes some real internet hard work to get to the bottom of things.

Internet, ZOOM AND ENHANCE.

From this angle you can clearly see that, aside from the Minnesota Timberwolves transforming into the Svelt-Power Atom Mimes, they’ve obviously borrowed an artistic theme from this humble blog site. And for this I demand, unequivocally, a large bounty of apology cakes. I drive a hard bargain but feel this is only fair, especially considering the deep emotional toil this has caused myself and this entire community.

I intend to take this straight to the president of Minnesota***.
