NC State is headed overseas later this summer, per athletics director Debbie Yow. The Wolfpack had been scheduled to take a trip to Italy last year but the school decided to postpone the visit over safety concerns in the region at that time.

These trips are good team-building experiences since they allow college teams to play a few games against usually-decent international competition. I’m sure Kevin Keatts will welcome the opportunity to see how the players are adjusting to his system under real game conditions.

The NCAA allows colleges to take a trip like this one once every four years.

Yow mentioned the trip in the third part of her interview with The Wolfpacker, and there are also tidbits in there about facilities upgrades, Case Commons, and the potential for beer sales at Carter-Finley down the road. (She actually sounds like she would be resistant to nixing halftime passouts even if the stadium did start selling booze, which surprised me a bit.

Here are all the installments of the interview: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3.
