Dennis Smith admitted that he was a little nervous heading into his first game with the Mavericks, but who the heck wouldn’t be nervous for something like that. DSJ finished his debut with 14 points on 5-12 shooting, seven rebounds, and six assists.
While his jumper wasn’t there (he was 1-6 from three), the fact that he connected on four of his six two-point attempts is encouraging. His speed and first step are going to translate, don’t think there’s anybody surprised about that.
Also, Dennis can still dunk real good.

The Mavericks alllllmost connected on a huge alley-oop, but somehow the pass was too tall even for DSJ.
