The first round matchups for the Battle 4 Atlantis pre-season tournament have been set and NC State will face Arizona out of the gate. That game is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET on Nov. 22. It’s a good thing we like a challenge!
Here is the bracket for the tourney:

Arizona is one of the event headliners, along with Villanova and Purdue. It’s a strong field top to bottom, so hey, might as well start with Arizona, I suppose. The winner of that contest will advance to face the winner of SMU/Northern Iowa and the loser will shift to the loser’s side of the bracket and play the SMU/UNI loser.
At least the second game will be more manageable. Each team is guaranteed three games in this tournament regardless of whether or not they win any of ‘em. (Hooray!) Hopefully there’s at least one win for the Wolfpack in here somewhere. (And if it happens to be against Sean Miller, that’d be great.)
