NC State drops UNC in overtime, 95-91

Wow. I am trying to do the ... wow. To be honest I did not see this coming. NC State was really good at the offensive end today, good enough to not only keep pace with UNC but beat them, and I am happy. I am extremely happy. NC State won in overtime, 95-91, in what is probably the finest game that Kevin Keatts’ team has played.

Al Freeman picked one hell of a time to wake up—he finished the day 7-7 from three, and it was that outside shooting that led State to victory. Torin Dorn was great, Markell Johnson was great, Omer Yursteven was great.

Everyone was great and I want to hug you all this is fun and totally unexpected and it rules so much and hugs. I’m still catching my breath, so maybe more actual basketball-type analysis will come later, but in the meantime, I’m gonna enjoy this, and also picture Roy Williams being extremely unhappy, and then enjoy it more.
