The ACC released the schedules for every team in the league on Thursday morning, and in the process finally gave clarity on NC State’s non-conference schedule. We know who the Wolfpack will play in conference games—and now there are dates—but we didn’t have the complete non-conference picture.
Here that is:
Nov. 6 — vs. Mount St. Mary’s
Nov. 10 — vs. UM-Eastern Shore
Nov. 13 — vs. UNC-Asheville
Nov. 17 — vs. Maine
Nov. 20 — vs. St. Peter’s
Nov. 24 — vs. Mercer
Nov. 27 — at Wisconsin (B1G/ACC Challenge)
Dec. 1 — vs. Vanderbilt (neutral court)
Dec. 5 — vs. Western Carolina
Dec. 15 — vs. Penn State (neutral)
Dec. 19 — vs. Auburn
Dec. 22 — vs. USC Upstate
Dec. 28 — vs. Loyola (MD)
State should be 6-0 going into the Challenge game at Wisconsin, which is where we’ll get a good idea of where we’re at in Kevin Keatts’ second season. That’ll transition the Pack into a decisive December (hashtag decisive december), where State will face three power-conference teams that will challenge for NCAA tournament at-large bids. Auburn is going to be a top-15 team.
This is an aggressive non-conference schedule, but that will no doubt be more fun than last year’s non-conference schedule, which was just a long nap. We’ll know what we got pretty quick.
