NC State opens up conference play on Thursday against Miami, which is to say that it’s time to see what we got this year. The Wolfpack has exceeded expectations up to this point, I think that’s safe to say—I can’t imagine there were many of us who would have figured the Pack a mainstay in the national polls by now.
State has taken full advantage of its schedule and is a Chargey McGee from being undefeated and all of that is encouraging. But you never really know about a team for sure until it gets into league play. How’s everything going to work in the grind?
Sometimes I wish we could play in the Pac-12, but alas, it is not so. It’s tough around here. This first week is not sympathetic, either: NC State hits the road for its league-opener, and its first home game is Tuesday against UNC. Welcome to the party, pal!
Is NC State good enough to win both of those games? I think so. Will State win both of those games? Wellllllll ... that’s why we’re here, ain’t it? Let’s go see what we got.
