NC State is a 31-point underdog against Clemson

Welcome to Pain Week! Actually a lot of weeks have been Pain Week this year, but this week, the pain promises to be extra painy. Clemson comes to town as a 31-point favorite to beat NC State, and most likely the only suspense will be around that margin.

The Tigers appear to be rounding into playoff form, and they basically had last week off, what with them playing a home game against Wofford. Clemson is three wins away from closing out its second consecutive undefeated regular season, and who are we to stand in the way?

Clemson hasn’t won a game by fewer than 31 points since September.

And NC State hardly seems capable of playing even vaguely well enough to make this game interesting going into the second half, though I suppose stranger things have happened. With the offense showing no signs of progress whatsoever, though, it’s hard to picture this one being interesting for long.
