NC State forward Jericole Hellems hasn’t practiced all week and will be a game time decision on Sunday, according to Kevin Keatts. Hellems suffered a concussion after coming down hard to the floor while fighting for a rebound against Wake Forest last Saturday.
Hellems doesn’t have any back issues related to the fall, Keatts said.

Based on Keatts’ comments, it doesn’t sound like Hellems will play vs. Spartans
Hellems was taken off the court on a stretcher after suffering the injury and a Wake player was charged with a flagrant foul, though no foul was called by the officials while the play occurred.
NC State only played eight guys against the Deacs and I’m guessing that if Hellems can’t go, C.J. Bryce will be back in the starting lineup. And State will need more out of Pat Andree, who has been a non-factor over the last three games, scoring only six points in that span.
The timing could be worse—it’s more important to let Hellems rest and get ready for Auburn next week, if that’s what’s necessary.
