If you forgot about it—and I don’t blame you if you did—there is still an ongoing federal probe into college basketball recruiting, for some reason. Who knows why, they’re just still doing the thing.
This week there has been a lot of testimony in court and they’ve made public a lot of the wiretap recordings that were made by the FBI. All of which looks real bad for Arizona. But I digress.
Kevin Keatts’ name came up during this process, when screen shots of texts by agent runner Christian Dawkins were shown in court. It appears that Dawkins was hoping to widen his influence in college basketball recruiting, which is where Keatts’ name comes up:
Screenshots of text messages showed Dawkins' plan to, at the very least, make contact with many coaches to eventually/hopefully attempt to get into business with them and/or the programs they worked for. There were a lot of targets. They're coming in the next tweet.

Targets Dawkins listed (and obviously never made contact with many): Sean Miller, Rick Pitino, Tom Izzo, Will Wade, Marvin Menzies, Kevin Keatts, Dennis Felton. Assistants: Book Richardson, Kenny Johnson, Jordan Fair, Mike Morrell, Greg Heir, Tony Bland, Preston Murphy ...

None of this has any implicating guilt to it, mind you. And what does it mean for NC State? Nothing. Dawkins’ text is just a wish-list without any context.
As bored as I am with this entire ordeal, I am bored with this entire ordeal. You write the conclusion to this post, I’m going to go take a nap.
