Markell Johnson was in Charlotte today to work out for the Hornets and he has less than two weeks before he has to decide whether or not to stay in the NBA Draft. Johnson also has attended workouts for the Atlanta Hawks and Brooklyn Nets.

He spoke briefly to media members after the workout but there were no revelations about his future plans. None of the collected media even bothered to ask. (Not that they were likely to get anything out of him anyway.)
Johnson has been under-the-radar since declaring—he wasn’t invited to the NBA Combine, which would have been the big opportunity to get noticed and improve his stock. Indications are that he’s a long-shot to be picked when the draft rolls around in June. He has until May 29th to withdraw his name from the draft.
