NC State guard C.J. Bryce expected to miss Clemson game

I’d hoped that having almost a week off would be enough recovery time for C.J. Bryce, but alas, it doesn’t look like that is the case. Kevin Keatts told Joe Giglio on Friday that Bryce probably won’t play against Clemson on Saturday.

Bryce was injured prior to NC State’s game against Appalachian State last Sunday when he was hit hard in the head by Manny Bates. The Wolfpack managed to overcome his absence in that case and the good news at least is team definitely can do so again.

Clemson is only 6-7 this season and ranks 97th in the Pomeroy Ratings—the Tigers are really struggling after losing a lot of production to graduation, and Brad Brownell might be on his way out.

So circumstances could be worse for the Pack, but still it’s difficult not to be leery of a road game in league play. State will need a couple guys to step up their efforts, as Devon Daniels and DJ Funderburk did against App.
