The preseason polls for both men’s and women’s basketball were released this week. On the men’s side, NC State was picked to finish eighth by media members, while Virginia is the preseason pick to win the league.
UNC’s Garrison Brooks is the preseason Player of the Year, and FSU’s Scottie Barnes is the pick for Freshman of the Year. Wolfpack guard Cam Hayes received one vote in the FOY category.
