NC State’s Dec. 16 game against Louisville postponed

NCAA Basketball: Louisville at N.C. State Rob Kinnan-USA TODAY Sports

Well, I’m sure we’ll probably see the NC State men’s basketball team back on the court at some point, but Wednesday will not be the day. The Wolfpack’s trip to Louisville has been postponed due to positive COVID-19 tests within the Cardinals’ program.

That makes four straight NC State games that have been either canceled or postponed since the Pack last played on Dec. 3. State’s next scheduled game is at home against Campbell on Saturday, which is followed by the UNC game in Raleigh on the 22nd. Fingers crossed that those games are played as scheduled.

I’m assuming the ACC will attempt to reschedule State-Louisville at some point, but for whatever reason, the league didn’t leave much room in the conference slate to do that sort of thing. NC State has eight days between games in late February, but otherwise the games are pretty evenly spaced three or four days apart.
