For short notice, NC State sure did manage to find a heck of a game. The Wolfpack and Saint Louis have agreed to a home-and-home basketball series that will begin on Thursday night at SLU’s place. Tip time is set for 8 p.m. ET.
SLU is coming off a 23-8 season that saw it finish at No. 62 in the Pomeroy Ratings. The Billikens are 4-0 this year, including a four-point win over a solid LSU team. The Billikens are No. 37 in the Pomeroy Ratings as of this writing ... which is one spot behind NC State. Good matchup!
Both teams have shot the ball exceptionally well in the early going, and in fact both teams have posted a 61.4 effective field goal percentage, which ranks in the top five nationally. The Billikens play a deep bench, and they have lots of experience, too. Credit to Kevin Keatts for his willingness to play this game under not-ideal circumstances.
There’s no television designation yet, and ESPN is already booked at that time, but it looks like ESPNU/ESPN2 are wide open. (Ditto the ACC Network, for that matter.) Figure at the least this game will land on an RSN.
