NC State meets Saint Louis for the second time, which is fine since it’s not like anyone remembers the last time

Kevin Keatts was trying to find a game for his team this week, and Saint Louis—a decent squad by all accounts, innocuous, unfamiliar—was right there for Kevin Keatts to schedule. The Billikens also had a game dropped last weekend, and they’re not bad, so why not?

Fortunately, and this is a huge relief, no one could possibly remember the history between NC State and Saint Louis, which is just a loaded question that no one asked, okay, just nobody was asking about Saint Louis.

I had never even heard of Saint Louis—it’s one of those over-there towns, just kinda over there, in the middle of the country, hanging out, doing its thing. Never heard of it. Frankly a little frightened by it. But never heard of it.

I don’t know what they have over there in St. Louis, what they might find as a custom. Do they like basketball? What happened to the NFL team they had trapped in a dome? Some questions you’ll never find an answer for. And frankly, there are some answers I don’t need.
