News broke late Friday night that the game between NC State and UConn set for Saturday has been canceled after a member of the Wolfpack’s traveling party tested positive for COVID-19. Per a release from NCSU, the team tested negative prior to traveling to the Mohegan Sun and again tests were clean prior to the game against UMass Lowell.

NC State will provide an update after the team gets back to Raleigh. With the UConn game nixed, the question now is whether or not any other games in the near future will be affected. The Wolfpack’s next scheduled game is against Michigan on Wednesday.
NC State is not the first team in the ACC to be affected by a positive test—both Louisville and Wake Forest paused basketball activities this week due to positive cases within their programs. Wake’s games through Dec. 16 have been postponed.
This is crap news for the Pack, and we were all looking forward to the game Saturday, but let’s just hope that whoever tested positive is okay.
