ESPN’s 64-person bracket of college basketball’s all-time greats, which includes both men and women, was revealed on Thursday, and of course it’s a bit of a mess. For one thing, there are too many one-and-done dudes in the field. And the old-school guys tend to be underseeded.
David Thompson, for example, managed just a No. 4 seed, and he’s in a region where Michael Jordan is a two-seed. They went and got that backward. Zion Williamson and Trae Young are a couple of the one-and-doners who have no business in this field, on account of their brief careers and the fact that they didn’t win a damn thing in college. Young’s OU team didn’t even get out of the first round of the NCAA tournament.
Anyway, voting for this event is being conducted via the ESPN and Sportscenter accounts on Twitter and Instagram. Voting for the DT’s region, the Midwest, begins on Sunday. Get those online poll-stuffing fingers ready!
