NC State men’s basketball is back on the shelf for a second time this season thanks to a positive COVID-19 test within the program, and the Wolfpack’s home game against Georgia Tech on Saturday has been postponed.
It’s a tough break for a team that could have used the home game to get itself back on track and put a losing streak behind it, but alas. NC State’s next scheduled game is at Virginia on Wednesday, followed by a trip to UNC next Saturday.
If those games happen as scheduled, its certainly possible the Wolfpack will be shorthanded due to contact tracing protocols. This is not a great development for a team that was missing an injured Manny Bates against Florida State.
NC State now has had six games either postponed or canceled this season: William & Mary, UConn, Michigan, Florida Atlantic, Louisville, and Georgia Tech. None of those non-conference games will be made up, but the ACC will try to reschedule those league games, if possible.
