In a not-at-all-surprising development, NC State’s game at Virginia on Wednesday has been postponed. NC State had a positive COVID-19 test following its game at FSU, which subsequently led to the postponement of its scheduled game against Georgia Tech on Saturday.
The next game on the schedule is at UNC this Saturday, and it’s fair to assume that game is up in the air at this point. If that game ends up postponed, NC State is next scheduled to play against Wake Forest on Jan. 27.
There isn’t much room on the remaining slate for rescheduled games, though the Wolfpack could theoretically fit in a mid-week contest between its trip to Wake on Feb. 20 and its home game against Pitt on Feb. 28. That’s the only gap larger than four days in between games on NC State’s remaining schedule.
NC State is down three league games following the postponement of the UVA trip.
