By virtue of Duke’s loss to UNC, NC State moved up to the No. 9 seed in the ACC tournament, avoiding the Tuesday round of games. The Wolfpack is set to open up its tourney against No. 8 Syracuse at noon on Wednesday.
A win against the Orange would advance the Pack to face Virginia on Thursday.

Two wins in the ACC tournament might just be enough to catapult State back into the NCAA tournament field, though it would be tight. Those two wins plus a loss to Georgia Tech, hypothetically, would give State a solid 6-9 (nice) record in Q1+Q2 games. And two wins over the ACC regular season champs would look good.
It’s a tough road no matter what, but landing on the opposite side of the bracket from FSU is a nice break as well.
The first two rounds will air on ACC Network, while the rest will be televised by ESPN or ESPN2.
