Loud schedule-related noises!

It’s been a busy day for basketball scheduling news. The matchups for the 2021 men’s ACC/Big Ten Challenge, and after missing out on a trip to Michigan for the 2020 edition of the event, NC State will be hosting Nebraska this time around.

I’m a little surprised about the matchup if only because they usually try to make these games even, and the Cornhuskers were a whole lot worse than the Pack last season, finishing just 7-20 overall and 109th in the Pomeroy Ratings.

Here is the full lineup:

Monday, November 29
Iowa at Virginia
Notre Dame at Illinois

Tuesday, November 30
Clemson at Rutgers
Duke at Ohio State
Florida State at Purdue
Minnesota at Pitt
Indiana at Syracuse
Northwestern at Wake Forest

Wednesday, December 1
Wisconsin at Georgia Tech
Louisville at Michigan State
Miami at Penn State
Michigan at North Carolina
Nebraska at NC State
Virginia Tech at Maryland

The Wolfpack does also play Purdue at a neutral site this season.

The women’s team, meanwhile, announced a huge home-and-home series with perennial national title contender UConn, which will begin in Storrs in 2022. The Huskies will make the trip to Raleigh in 2023. The Wolfpack Women also have a headliner at home against South Carolina this upcoming season, so Wes Moore has not been shy about putting his team up against the best of the best. And rightfully so.
