Mike Uremovich has been hired by NC State to coach its offensive line, replacing the legendary Jim Bridge.
"Mike brings experience as a head coach, an offensive coordinator, an offensive line coach and a special teams coordinator to us," said Doeren. "He is a tireless recruiter and a great family man and he is probably one of the best technicians I’ve been with from a run blocking and design standpoint. We’re really excited about what he brings to the table offensively."
And so we have reached the end of the era of college football's most photogenic screamer. It is a sad day indeed.
Additionally, news broke from the UConn side that former NC State linebacker Clayton White is leaving the Huskies to join Dave Doeren's staff. White coached running backs and special teams for UConn and has also coached defensive backs. Seems like he'd be the guy to coach NC State's linebackers, but he has no experience coaching the position. We'll have to wait for the official announcement.
