The ACC preseason poll is out and looks pretty much as anticipated, with Clemson and Florida State 1-2 in the Atlantic by a wide margin and Miami on top of the Coastal. NC State was picked third in the Atlantic, but even looking at it now I have a hard time figuring out how the hell to order three through seven. It'll probably come down to the luck of the draw with crossover opponents to some extent: NCSU (vs. UNC, at Duke), BC (at UNC, vs. VT), Wake (at Miami, vs. Duke), Syracuse (at GT, vs. Pitt).
Four teams in the Coastal received first-place votes, and Tajh Boyd is not surprisingly the favorite to win ACC Player of the Year honors.
