NC State Picks Up The Original BALLER

Among the other goings on Thursday, the NC State football program added another valued subscriber. This time, it is safety/linebacker Dexter Wright, who plays for Hunt High School in Wilson. Wright, you might remember, was the original BALLER, so to speak; it was his Instagram photo that first revealed the incredible letter that Drew Hughes has been sending to recruits.

For that we are eternally thankful, and of course it comes as no surprise that Wright ultimately was swayed by such a masterfully persuasive note. It's virtually irresistible. And that, my friends, is math you can use. Equals signs in sentences are the secret to recruiting success in the modern era.

Wright is listed at 6-2, 205 by 247Sports and is considered a three-star prospect. He also holds offers from UNC and East Carolina. I've heard that he's been running some impressive 40 times in workouts, and it seems like he'd be a great fit in the secondary. He also plays linebacker in high school, so maybe there's a future there as well.
