Three players joined NC State's 2014 class Saturday: punter A.J. Cole, wide receiver Maurice Trowell, and fullback/running back/safety/handyman Jaylen Samuels. Trowell and Samuels are both in-state prospects, the latter making yet another addition from the Charlotte area.
In the cases of Trowell and Samuels, it appears NC State was the first school from a power conference to offer. Trowell has an offer from ECU and has been getting interest from UNC, South Carolina, and WVU, according to 247Sports. Samuels has gotten interest from UNC, Georgia Tech, Kansas State, and UVA.
But most importantly, the coaches have their punter of the future, who will take the reigns of the pistol offense and bring it to the next level. (That's how the pistol offense works, right?)
UPDATE: Oh, Cole Cook too.
