Dave Doeren and his staff nabbed another big in-state prospect on Friday afternoon when running back Nyheim Hines committed to NC State. The Garner High School star is a consensus four-star recruit in the 2015 class, making him one of the top-rated players in the Pack's recruiting class.
Ready to make it happen and help Nc state on the run to the ACC championship #PACK15

Hines is regarded as the No. 5 player in North Carolina by 247Sports, and the No. 148 player nationally. That puts him right in the ballpark with Wolfpack verbals Darian Roseboro and Emanuel McGirt, who rank just outside of 247's top 150. They're also in-state players.
Hines, who is listed at 5'9 and 187 pounds, is going to give State something it lacks at the skill positions right now: speed. Needed = speed, and speed = received.
Roseboro, McGirt, and now Hines give NC State three of the top 10 prospects from North Carolina. Like those two, Hines had major offers from all over the place: Ohio State, UNC, Virginia Tech, Georgia, Florida, Notre Dame, South Carolina, Tennessee, etc. etc.
