It's almost National Signing Day and hey wait a minute the Carter-Finley jumbotron is a Clapper?

Rob Kinnan-USA TODAY Sports

The biggest day of the year for fax machines is nearly upon us. College football's National Signing Day is Wednesday, which is when all the players who have turned on red lights these past nine months or so will make official that they are attending NC State. Unless there is any ... [insert foreboding music here] ... last-minute drama. But that doesn't seem particularly likely at this point.

Coverage of the day will begin early (sleep in, you dang kids, I don't care if it's a school day! /shakes fist):

Live coverage will begin at 7 a.m. and continue through head coach Dave Doeren's press conference at 3:30 p.m. GoPack.com will feature exclusive content on the newest members of the Wolfpack throughout the day.

This year's class will also be announced via twitter (@PackFootball) as well as on NC State's official Facebook page.

Fans can then watch Doeren's breakdown of each member of #PACK14 during live coverage of his signing day press conference, which will begin at 3:30 p.m and will be streamed on GoPack.com and on ESPN3.

That's all great and stuff but did you guys know the Carter-Finley jumbotron is a Clapper?

That's damn straight, coach, ain't nobody got it better than us. Also if you were wondering how this affects jumbotron performance on game day, I think it's clear that the sheer amount of clapping that is generally occurring at any given time cancels itself out, as the videoboard imperceptibly goes off and on thousands of times per second. If it does turn off in the middle of an important replay, though, it's probably the fault of that jerk three rows down. The nerve of that guy.
