The Wolfpack added another potential piece to its offensive of the future on Tuesday when offensive lineman Philip Walton verbaled to NC State. Walton is the second member of the Pack's 2015 recruiting class, and the second in-state player to join the group.
Sometimes God just blesses us by placing the right decision right in our laps. I am beyond happy to say that I committed to NC State today!

As SBN's Wescott Eberts outlined here, Walton has a lot of work to do in order to become a viable tackle at the college level, but at 6'7", he's got the frame to grow into that position, though he needs to add a lot of pounds while refining his technique.
At this point, Walton is unranked by the major services and holds only one other offer from an FBS school, but that can all change quickly depending on how he performs at various camps down the road and during his senior season at Charlotte Christian.
