NC State football recruiting: 2015 class moves up to 27th after strong weekend

Rob Kinnan-USA TODAY Sports

NC State' had a heck of arecruiting weekend, flipping four-star RB Johnny Frasier from Florida State and three-star DL Emmanuel Olenga from East Carolina. The addition of those two quality prospects gave State's 2015 class a boost in the national rankings as well--the group moved up nine spots to 27th in 247Sports' composite rankings.

The Pack might not end up with a top 25 class once the dust has settled after National Signing Day, but no doubt this is the closest the program has been to that benchmark in a long time. The class is ranked sixth in the ACC and pretty much on par with a few of the classes ahead of it--UNC, VT, and Miami are all ranked between 20th and 25th nationally.

Off in the distance, there's still Florida State and Clemson, which are hauling in blue-chip talent as effectively as anybody else in the country.
