NC State football recruiting: TE Thaddeus Moss picks Wolfpack over Texas A&M, UCLA, USC

Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports

NC State's recruiting class got a much-needed boost on Saturday afternoon when Mallard Creek (NC) tight end Thaddeus Moss announced his commitment to the Wolfpack. Moss is in Raleigh this weekend on an official visit, and made his announcement at the State-Duke basketball game.

Moss is the son of former NFL great Randy Moss, so suffice it to say the kid's got a pretty good pedigree as a pass-catcher. He is a consensus three-star prospect in the 2016 class, but both Rivals and ESPN rate his as a four-star recruit. Moss' offer list is impressive, and his final four schools included Texas A&M, USC, and UCLA in addition to NC State.

At 6'4 and 240 pounds, Moss gives Dave Doeren and new offensive coordinator Eliah Drinkwitz a big target to add to the passing game. He's probably the most well-regarded recruit in the Wolfpack's class.
