With the new early signing period in college football just a few days out, NC State picked up another verbal commitment, this time from Florida offensive lineman Kahric Belle. Belle is a three-star prospect who also holds offers from Florida and Kentucky.
Belle seems like the perfect project-type prospect to bring into the fold since he is already enormous—he’s listed at 6’6 and 292 pounds by 247Sports. The one thing that is consistent about his junior-year film is that he is enormous—slow, yes, but enormous. You can improve agility and fix clunky footwork but you can’t teach enormousness, as the saying goes. At least I think that’s how the saying goes. Is that how the saying goes?
Anyway. With this addition, NC State’s 2018 recruiting class ranks 21st nationally in the 247 Composite and fourth within the ACC. It’s been a good crootin’ cycle for Dave Doeren and his staff.
