NC State made another addition to its 2018 recruiting class Thursday when junior college defensive back Kishawn Miller committed to the Wolfpack. Since he’s coming from a juco stint, he will have two years of eligibility remaining once he enrolls at NC State.
Miller is the definition of sleeper prospect, since his only other offer is from Georgia State. He was on NC State’s campus last weekend and received an offer on June 24th. Obviously, it didn’t take him long after that to make up his mind. Here’s Miller on his decision to pick NC State, via Pack Pride:
"My family was all in for it," said Miller. "They really liked NC State. It is a great opportunity for me, great chance for me to play when I get in there. That's really important coming out of a junior college because I only have two years to play. It's also a great school. I went there and had great vibes with the coaches- the head coach, the cornerbacks coach. So, it just felt like home when I got there. When I pulled up it gave me goosebumps and I knew what I wanted so I went ahead and pulled the trigger. I didn't want to wait on it.
He’s listed at 5’10 and 170 pounds.
Adding depth to the two-deep in the secondary has been a priority for State and in this month alone the coaching staff has added multiple prospects who could end up being contributors at either corner or safety.
