NC State picked up a commitment from three-star offensive lineman Jalynn Strickland on Tuesday, which is good and everything, but more importantly, Jaylnn Strickland apparently announced his choice by holding up a poster of a white wolf. I like this dude already.

(Note: internet law requires Strickland to replace the wolf with a Crying Jordan should he eventually de-commit and go elsewhere.)

At 6’6 and around 300 pounds, Strickland already possesses good size for an offensive tackle, which is almost certainly where he’ll end up, even though he has spent plenty of time on the defensive side of the ball for his high school. Strickland was able to clog up lanes with his Big McLargeHugeness at defensive end/tackle early in his high school career but he’s not fast enough off the ball to be an impact player there in college.
His film is impressive, mainly because he is like twice the size of everyone else on the field at any given time. See if you can spot the 6’6, 300-pound D-I tackle prospect in this screen cap I took:

As I watched Strickland’s highlights, I became an increasingly bigger fan of No. 52, who is the right guard in the above screenshot. Fortunately most of the kids at that level are his size, so he does not in fact get killed. Strickland, though, just runs dudes over as a matter of course.
Strickland has an impressive offer sheet that includes Arkansas, Minnesota, Navy, and Maryland. Arkansas had been the leader for his services earlier this spring.
