NC State scored a commitment from another in-state recruit, this time from Southern Nash High School running back Zonovan Knight. Knight was a one-time Duke verbal before re-opening his recruitment and ultimately deciding on the Wolfpack. He unofficially visited State several times after decommitting this spring.

Knight is a consensus three-star prospect, according to the 247Sports Composite, and he’s listed at 6’0 and 183 pounds. He holds offers from UNC, Virginia Tech, Duke, Wake Forest, Louisville, Boston College, and Purdue, among lots of others.
In his junior campaign, he ran for nearly 1,900 yards while averaging over 13 yards per carry, which I have been told is good. He also scored 27 rushing touchdowns.
The in-state recruiting momentum continues for Dave Doeren’s staff, and this probably isn’t the last verbal of the day from a North Carolina kid. Things are going well these days, folks. Knight is the 12th in-state recruit to commit to the Wolfpack.
