Sometimes it doesn’t take kids long at all to decide where they want to play in college. Wide receiver prospect Anthony Smith was offered a scholarship by the NC State staff on Saturday and committed to the Wolfpack the very same day.

Smith, who is from Huntingtown, Maryland, held offers from UMass and Navy at the FBS level, so it’s not exactly surprising that he’d jump at a power-conference offer less than a month before the early signing period begins. Smith is listed at 6’1 and 172 pounds by 247Sports but does not currently have a star rating in their system.
Bit of an under-the-radar prospect, which is fine, the staff tends to do well with these types of players. I ain’t here to question their judgment.
