Since a December signing period was instituted for college football, it’s basically replaced the more traditional February date as the primary signing day for the majority of prospects. So NC State will have most, if not all, of it’s 2020 recruiting class sign in the coming days.
The early signing period begins on Wednesday and runs through Friday. If a prospect doesn’t sign in that window, he’ll have to wait until February. Some of the more high-profile kids may do that as they continue to weigh their choice.
NC State probably will add a couple names to its current class, which has 19 members at this point. Wide receiver Porter Rooks is the highest ranked of the group and also one of its longest-tenured, having committed to State in December of 2018.
Despite some defections, NC State is set to land another top-40 class that is essentially in line with what Dave Doeren has been reeling in over the last few years.
