NC State lands commitments from kicker Ian Williams, wide receiver Chris Scott

With the December early signing period just around the corner, NC State has made two more additions to its 2020 class. In-state placekicker Ian Williams announced his commitment to the Wolfpack on Sunday, and Georgia wide receiver Chris Scott verbaled on Monday morning.

Williams is a two-star prospect in the 247 Composite, though I don’t see much point in paying attention to a kicker’s star rating. Or, if you must, instead pay attention to this five-star rating he received from Kohl’s Kicking, which rates him the sixth-best placekicker in the country.

NC State is set for two more seasons at kicker, which gives Williams time to develop into the next Chris Dunn.

Receiver Chris Scott, who is from Dracula I mean Dragula I mean Dacula, Georgia, visited NC State over the weekend. NC State is his lone power-five offer, according to 247Sports, and he doesn’t currently have a star rating. He’s listed unofficially at 6’0 and 160 pounds.
