NC State had a productive weekend on the recruiting trail, picking up three additions to its 2020 class. After picking up a verbal from defensive back Joseph Johnson on Saturday, the Pack got commitments from Nate McCollum and Aydan White on Sunday night.

McCollum is a consensus three-star prospect from Georgia who is also going to play baseball for NC State. According to his Perfect Game profile, McCollum is an OF/2B prospect in that sport. Not surprisingly, the slot receiver has elite speed for baseball. He’s listed at 5’10 and 180 pounds by 247Sports.
White is a 6’2 defensive back prospect from my neck of the woods in Asheville and is regarded as a top-25 recruit in North Carolina. Between White and Johnson, Dave Doeren’s staff has added some excellent size to its defensive backfield.
The commitments this weekend doubled NC State’s class from three to six players. At this early stage in the cycle, the group ranks 22nd nationally.
